What the quoted number covers
Every figure below is confirmed and applies whichever term you take. None of it changes because the rental is long.
- The rate itself
- Quoted against the class and the dates you give us, and it does not move underneath you once the term is agreed.
- The deposit
- Refundable, and held for the length of the rental — from $250 on a credit card or a $300 minimum on debit, released within 3 to 7 business days of the vehicle coming back in good order.
- How you pay
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, debit included at the higher deposit, and the card has to be in the name the booking is under.
- Who can drive it
- Minimum age 21, with 18 to 20 accepted on a direct booking, and a current licence at the hand-over.
- Mileage
- A daily allowance is included and it varies by vehicle; past it, additional miles are charged at $0.50 to $1.50 or more depending on the class, and we confirm which allowance applies before you book.
- Fuel
- Back at the level it left at — worth planning for at the start of a long term rather than discovering at the end of one.
- Cancelling before it starts
- Full refund 48 hours or more before pickup, partial refund 24 to 48 hours before pickup and no refund under 24 hours, including same day.
- Delivery
- Optional, and priced separately — the fee is set by distance and the pickup time, and quoted while you book rather than added afterwards.
What moves the number
Three things, and you will see all three of them on the quote before you agree to any of it.
The class
An economy car and a seven-seat van are different vehicles to run for a month, and they are quoted as such.
The length of the term
The longer you hold it, the lower the effective daily rate — which is the whole reason to book a term rather than a run of separate days.
Whether we deliver it
A delivery fee applies where we bring the vehicle to you, set by distance and the pickup time and quoted on the same screen as the rate.

Booking a term is the same as booking a day until the end, where a long rental has a step a short one never needs.

Roughly how long you need it and what has to fit — people, bags, a hitch — and we narrow the class with you rather than selling you up one.
Step 2 of 4: We quote the term, not the days
One figure for the whole stretch, with the deposit, the mileage allowance and any delivery fee on the same screen before anything is final.
Step 3 of 4: Collect it, or we bring it

As one figure for the whole term rather than a day rate multiplied out, and the longer you hold the vehicle the lower the effective daily rate works out to be. What sets it is the class you want, how long you want it, and whether we deliver it. Send us the dates and we will quote the whole stretch, so you are comparing one number against the trip instead of a daily rate against a calendar.
What deposit do you take on a long rental, and when do I get it back?
A refundable security deposit, held once for the length of the rental rather than taken again each week. It starts at $250 on a credit card and can be higher depending on the vehicle; on a debit card the minimum is $300. We release it within 3 to 7 business days of the vehicle coming back in good condition with no breach of the terms.
Am I billed up front, or as the term runs?
Tell us which suits you and we will set it up that way where we can. What will not happen is being quoted one thing and billed another — the total for the term, the deposit and any delivery fee are all on the screen before you commit, and the billing arrangement is confirmed with you as part of that rather than left to be discovered.
Is there a mileage limit if I keep it for a month?
There is a daily allowance and it varies by vehicle type, so the honest answer is that it depends on the class you take. Past the allowance, additional miles are charged at $0.50 to $1.50 or more depending on the vehicle. Tell us roughly what the month looks like when you book — a commute across town and a run to the coast every weekend are not the same rental — and we confirm the allowance that applies before anything is final.
What do you need from me before a long booking?
A current driver’s licence for whoever is driving, and a card in that same name — Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover, debit included at the higher deposit. Minimum age is 21, with 18 to 20 accepted on a direct booking. On a term rental the card stays associated with the booking for the whole stretch rather than being produced once at a counter, so use one you are happy to leave in place.
Can I extend the term, or hand it back early?
Both are normal, and the thing that matters is telling us before the term runs out rather than after. Orders move, closings slip and repairs take longer than anyone said, so an extension gets requoted properly rather than rolling into something you never agreed to. An early return is looked at rather than ignored, and you will know where you stand before you bring the vehicle in — the published cancellation windows cover a booking that has not started yet, not a term already running.
Who handles servicing while I have it?
We do, and we work it around you rather than the other way round. A vehicle out for weeks will come due for something, so if a service light appears or a tyre goes, ring us and we will sort it — including putting you into another vehicle if what yours needs will take a while. You should not lose days of a term to a garage appointment.
Can you deliver it, and collect it at the end?
Yes to both, across the San Antonio area — a home, a hotel, a workplace, or the repair shop your own vehicle is sitting in. A delivery fee applies and it is worked out from the distance and the pickup time, quoted while you book rather than added afterwards. Collecting the vehicle from us yourself carries no delivery fee at all, and we will say so if that works out better over a long term.
Send the dates and the class and you get one figure back for the whole stretch, with the deposit, the mileage allowance and any delivery fee alongside it. Nothing is final until you have seen all four.
