Car Rental Delivery in San Antonio

Military City Rentals is a military owned and operated agency offering car rental delivery in San Antonio — economy, sedan, SUV, truck, van and luxury classes, collected from us or delivered to where the trip starts. We serve the whole city, the Joint Base San Antonio community at Lackland, Randolph, Fort Sam Houston, and San Antonio International Airport (SAT).

Open 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, seven days a week

Where We Go

Rental Car Delivery Across San Antonio, JBSA and SAT

One city, three installations and an airport, and a different reason for renting in each of them. Find the one that sounds like your week.

  • Citywide

    San Antonio

Downtown out to the far side of Loop 1604, and everywhere the traffic actually is. Most of what we deliver goes to somebody inside the city who did not expect to be renting anything this week.

  • JBSA community

    JBSA-Lackland

Graduation weekends fill the calendar and the hotels at the same time, and a family flying in for two days should not spend one of them in a counter queue. We work around the Lackland community’s weekend, not ours.

  • JBSA community

    JBSA-Randolph

Training rotations and TDY windows that move a day at a time. The Randolph community books us for the stretch between arriving and having their own vehicle in the driveway, which is rarely the stretch anyone planned for.

  • JBSA community

    JBSA-Fort Sam Houston

Medical training runs long and arrives constantly. The Fort Sam Houston community usually needs a vehicle for weeks rather than days, which is a different arrangement from a daily rate and a cheaper one.

  • Airport

    San Antonio International (SAT)

Arrivals are the one place where twenty minutes saved feels like twenty minutes. Send your flight details with the booking and the vehicle is there when you clear the terminal, rather than a shuttle ride away.

  • County

    Bexar County

Past the city limits but inside the county, the answer is usually yes. It turns on the address and the hour rather than on a line drawn on a map, so ask us instead of assuming we will not come to you.

How It Reaches You

Four Ways to Get the Keys

Every one of these is available on every booking. What changes is how far the vehicle travels before you are holding the keys, and what that costs.

A set of car keys passed from one hand to another beside a parked car.

On The Map

Serving San Antonio and Bexar County

We are a San Antonio operator working the whole city rather than a pin on a forecourt. The map is the area; the panel is how you reach us in it.

How It Works Here

Three Steps, Wherever You Are in the City

The route to the keys does not change with your postcode. Only the last step does.

  1. Choose

Choose the class, not the day

Six classes, economy through luxury. The question that narrows it is the trip rather than the date: how many people, how much luggage or cargo, and how long you actually need it for.

  2. Pick

    Pick how it reaches you

Collect it from us, or give us the address, the hotel or the terminal and we agree a delivery window with you before your pickup time. Both are open on every booking, in every part of the area we serve.

  3. Drive

    Take the keys and go

We confirm the class, the timing and what it costs before anything is final — so the handover itself is a licence, a card, and a set of keys. Nothing turns up at the kerb that was not on the screen.

Booking takes a couple of minutes and a person answers the other end of it. What we ask for — licence, payment method, and the terms that apply to your age group — is set out in full on our rental requirements and policies page, and we confirm all of it with you before anything is final.

Why Families Here Choose Us

Built for a Military City, Not Bolted Onto One

San Antonio has been a military town for longer than it has been anything else, and renting a vehicle here runs to a rhythm the national brands do not price for. Orders move. A PCS lands three weeks before the household goods do. A TDY window slips by a day and the counter has already shut. A family flies in for a graduation at Lackland and needs a vehicle for exactly forty-eight hours, starting at an hour nobody at an airport desk wants to work.

We are owned and run by people who served, we rent to all six branches, and we work the Joint Base San Antonio community at Lackland, Randolph, Fort Sam Houston the way a local does — around your schedule rather than around ours.

That is not a discount, and we are not claiming one. It is knowing what a PCS timeline actually looks like, and answering the phone when it changes.

What that means in practice

Military Owned and Operated
Owned and run by people who served. Not a marketing angle bolted onto a franchise.
All Six Branches Served
Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force and Coast Guard. Active duty, Guard, Reserve, retired and families.
Straightforward Pricing
You see the terms before you book, not at the counter with your bags on the floor.
Delivery Available
We come to you across the San Antonio area, including the terminal at SAT.
Direct Human Support
Reach us and you get someone local who can make a decision about your rental.

What We Bring You

Six Classes, Delivered Anywhere We Serve

No class is held back from delivery, and none is airport-only. Whatever you pick can be collected from us or brought to you.

You reserve a class rather than a particular car, so what you are guaranteed is the class you booked — the seats, the transmission and the space it describes. Not sure which one? Tell us the trip instead of the vehicle.

What We Can Prove Today

Six Things You Can Hold Us To

We are new enough that we would rather show you the terms than show you testimonials. Every line below is checkable before you give us anything.

Hours you can actually use
Pickup and return run 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, seven days a week. Outside them, by prior arrangement, at no extra charge — which is a real arrangement rather than a favour, and it costs nothing extra.
The terms arrive before the booking
The rate for your class and dates, the deposit, the mileage allowance and the cancellation terms are all quoted while you book. Nothing appears at handover that was not on the screen when you agreed to it.
A deposit you can plan for
From $250 on a credit card and a $300 minimum on a debit card, higher on some vehicles. Refundable, and released within 3 to 7 business days of the vehicle coming back in good order.
Payment you already carry
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover. Debit is accepted at the higher deposit. The card has to be in the name the booking is under.
Younger drivers are not a no
The standard minimum age is 21, and we take drivers of 18 to 20 on a direct booking — which is not true at most counters in this city.
Coverage you can check before you book
San Antonio, the Joint Base San Antonio community at Lackland, Randolph, Fort Sam Houston, and San Antonio International Airport (SAT). If your address is somewhere you are not sure about, the answer takes one message.

Location Questions

Delivery, Distance and the Airport

The six questions people ask before they book from an address rather than a counter.

All FAQs →

Do you deliver to my part of San Antonio?

Almost certainly. We work the whole city rather than a downtown radius, so the question is usually the hour rather than the address. Tell us where the trip starts — home, a hotel, an office, anywhere you can actually meet a vehicle — and we agree a delivery window with you before your pickup time rather than on the day. If your address turns out to be somewhere we cannot reach, you hear that while you are booking rather than when the vehicle does not arrive.

Do you serve the Joint Base San Antonio community?

Yes, and it is most of what we do. We rent to the JBSA community at Lackland, Randolph and Fort Sam Houston — active duty, Guard, Reserve, retired, and the families who move with them. Handover is arranged at a time and a place that works for you rather than one that assumes your week looks like a nine-to-five, because PCS timelines and TDY windows almost never do.

Is there a delivery fee, and how is it worked out?

Yes, when we bring the vehicle to you. It is based on distance and the pickup time, and we quote it while you are booking rather than adding it afterwards, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. Collecting the vehicle from us carries no delivery fee at all. Both options are open on every booking and we will tell you which one actually makes more sense for your trip.

Can you meet me at San Antonio International Airport?

Yes. Send your flight details with the booking and we plan the timing around your arrival rather than around a counter opening. You walk out of the terminal to a vehicle instead of taking a shuttle to a rental centre and queueing behind four people who landed before you. Returns work the same way in reverse, so a departure does not start with a detour.

Is same-day available everywhere you serve?

Yes. Same-day is a service we run across the whole area rather than a downtown-only convenience. What decides it is what is genuinely free that day and how far the vehicle has to travel to reach you — which is why a same-day delivery has to be arranged earlier in the day than a same-day collection. Tell us the class you want and the hour you need it, and you get a straight yes or no.

How far outside San Antonio will you go?

Further than most people assume, and the honest answer is that it turns on the address and the hour rather than on a fixed radius. Bexar County is routine. Past that, tell us where and when and you get a straight answer immediately, rather than working it out from a number on a map and deciding for yourself that we will not come.

Tell Us Where You Are. We Will Come to You.
